Development-driven. Performance supported. Competition earned.

Academics

WTPA runs athletics inside a structured, full-day model where training, performance work, recovery, and supervision operate as one system—not separate pieces families have to manage on their own. Athletic and performance training is layered strategically throughout the day so development stays consistent and doesn’t compete with academics.

WTPA exists to prepare student-athletes for what’s next. Athletically, that means development is prioritized over volume progression, durability, movement quality, and long-term health come first. Competition is treated as a developmental tool, not the product.

WTPA does not chase short-term outcomes or “more games” as the goal. Training and competition are structured around one question: Does this support long-term collegiate or professional readiness?

Grades 7–12:

ASU Prep Digital

Students in grades 7–12 complete coursework through ASU Prep Digital, but it’s delivered inside WTPA’s structured, supervised school day—not as independent “do it on your own” online work. Academic blocks are scheduled, attendance is taken, and progress is monitored continuously, with mandatory study hall or tutoring assigned when performance or eligibility needs require it.

Post-Graduate

ASU Universal Learner

Post-graduate students complete academics through ASU Universal Learner pathways within a schedule designed to mirror college expectations while still maintaining supervision and accountability. Athletic development occurs earlier in the day, with academic instruction later, reinforcing independence under structure while progress, attendance, and intervention remain consistent with WTPA’s institutional standards.

Supervised Academics

What “supervised academics” means at WTPA
Supervised academic blocks
Students complete coursework in structured, staff-supervised time.
Attendance is taken
Attendance is tracked for academic instruction and assigned support blocks.
Progress is monitored daily
Engagement and completion are checked continuously, not only at the end.
Intervention happens early
Study hall or tutoring is assigned when benchmarks aren’t met and involvement is needed.

What WTPA is (and isn’t)

Not a traditional school:

WTPA isn’t a standard public/private model retrofitted for athletics. It’s built around an integrated daily system.

Not a club program:

Clubs don’t manage coursework, transcripts, or daily academic accountability. WTPA does.

Not “online school + training”:

Academics are supervised daily with attendance, monitoring, and intervention.

What We Expect From Students

Academic Expectations

  • Attend all academic blocks and assigned support sessions.

  • Complete coursework on pace.

  • Meet academic standards consistently, without exceptions for athletics.

Structure isn’t a restriction here. It’s the foundation of development.
