A Purpose-Built Preparatory Academy
West Texas Preparatory Academy (WTPA) is a grades 7–12 and post-graduate preparatory academy designed to develop student-athletes through a fully integrated system of college-aligned academics, athletic development, performance training, and daily accountability.
From day one, the Academy operates boys’ and girls’ basketball programs, a girls’ volleyball program, and boys’ and girls’ post-graduate basketball programs. This structure is intentional. It reflects both regional demand and the Academy’s ability to deliver each program correctly without dilution, shortcuts, or phased rollouts.
WTPA is not a traditional public school, a private school retrofitted for athletics, or a sports program layered on top of online coursework. It is a purpose-built institution, designed around how student-athletes actually develop when time, structure, expectations, and supervision are aligned within a single system. Academics, training, scheduling, supervision, recovery, and support services function together rather than in isolation.
